Monte carlo movie why pg

Assuming this new identity, she and her friends Leighton Meester, Katie Cassidy take advantage of a free trip to Monte Carlo. But their good fortune comes with some bad consequences. Why is Monte Carlo rated PG? Run Time: minutes.

Monte Carlo is the classic prince and the pauper plot where some lucky soul in this case a recent high school graduate gets to experience the lavish life of the rich and famous. Working as a waitress in a small Texas town, Grace Bennett Selena Gomez has saved all her tips for a trip to Paris with her coworker Emma Katie Cassidy , a pretty blonde with big aspirations who dropped out of high school to model for the cover of a coupon circular.

But while trudging back in the rain to their run down lodgings, Grace is mistaken for the socialite Cordelia Winthrop Scott, a snobbish but fabulously wealthy young heiress who has tarnished her reputation with some unbecoming behaviors. Whisked up in the moment, Grace and her friends play along, taking advantage of a free night in a luxurious suite before boarding a private jet bound for Monte Carlo.

Once there, the game is on as the trio attempts to keep up the charade while attending functions specifically orchestrated for Cordelia. Unfortunately, their means of getting to Monte Carlo—namely lying—are hardly commendable despite the good impression the girls make on the stuffy upper crust socialites. It seems though, that if anyone can do damage control for the churlish Cordelia, it would be the likeable Grace who quickly endears herself to Theo Pierre Boulanger , the son of the influential philanthropist Christophe Malavoy.

Even the Monaco police refuse to lay charges of identity theft or unlawful confinement. On the positive side, Grace, Meg and Emma learn many of the life lessons any good adventure should provide, like an appreciation for home and one another. As well, each of the girls discovers some important things about herself and fortunately without a lot of unsuitable content for younger viewers. Violence: A girl slaps a boy across the face.

Characters lie about their identities. One person steals a flower from a street vendor. Several characters tie up a woman. In several party scenes and a home dinner scene, a few women wear dresses with deeply cut necklines that reveal cleavage. In a beach scene several men swim in knee length shorts we see bare chests and backs.

Two beach scenes and one hotel scene show women wearing bikini bathing suits that reveal cleavage as well as bare shoulders, buttocks and legs. Carved female figures adorn the top of the outside of a hotel and they are nude from the waist-up.

A background song's lyrics are, "I take my lesson from the birds and the bees. A woman runs into a conference room and shouts that her necklace was stolen and someone needs to be arrested. A man tells a woman that a rugby injury kept him in a hospital for a year, but that he is totally recovered and we see no scars.

Three women argue about incidental things and bicker briefly through many scenes. A woman leans on a motor scooter and knocks it and two others over, without damage or injury. Hot Chicks over here! It's very upsetting that in most of these "chick flick lite" movies, the women are stumbling upon strange men to fall in love.

When our kids see this, they in return begin to lower their guard around strangers. This is very dangerous. I, also, found the clothing of these girls to be too promiscuous sometimes, especially from the co-stars. Movies even those supposedly for youngsters are just getting more profane and provocative. When we give them a right thing in a wrong way, they absorb it all. They need extra help along the way. And that clock cannot be turned back. With all the adult situations and partying, your kids are better off playing outside and enjoying what innocence and happiness they still have left.
