Cod black ops why is it rated m

With the graphic content filter turned on, I believe I would let kids play it if they are allowed to watch movies such as: Angels and Demons, James Bond Series, Transformers.

Helped me decide 1. Adult Written by Steph. G November 13, You can turn of blood, gore, and language! This drastically changes what I would be writing here, since many parents are hesitant to buy this game because of pure peer pressure. Without a doubt this game is violent, but when you use the feature of turning off blood, gore, and language the game is much more playable in a family environment.

Educational Value. Adult Written by Sapro Gaming May 23, I wasn't so sure about letting my 13 year old daughter play this at first, but once i read these reviews and played i found it wasn't bad at all, there isn't as much gore, and the swearing, well I'm sure most teens are used to that but you can turn it off.

You can also turn off the gore in settings. This title contains: Positive Messages. Positive role models. Adult Written by Parent of four October 13, Not as BSD as I thought Besides the cussing thou can turn off the blood and gore but if you want your child not hearing the cussing simply turn off character dialogue or turn the volume down all the way my sos LOVES it.

Adult Written by Samuel B. August 31, Common sense media is making this seem a lot worse than it should be This game is just a game while there is language and violence ,that can be turned off easily with a content filter which makes this game play exactly like a T rated game, if your kid goes to a public school at 12 and up then they have heard more curse words than this game has to offer and if your child can handle shooting knowing that its fake and that guns are dangerous then they're fine if they have watched Jurassic park then that is about the same gore level if your kid play star wars battlefront 1 or 2, destiny, fortnite or any other T rated shooter then this is practically no worse.

Also this is just me but I don't think that this game actually has enough "drugs" to call it a drug reference maybe a little smoking but that is almost all. Adult Written by Daniel Gellar September 2, Great game for teens I think this is a very educational and good game. Yeah there's violence and swearing but it's no more violence then most movies your child probably watches and has no less swearing then what your child hears commonly around.

Great game for any child over the age of Adult Written by heduith February 1, It is a incredible game! Great graphics great story great protagonist it is a game that will have everything you want it is incredible.

Also, the scenery is still covered in blood. In addition to ranged combat, players have the ability to stab or pistol-whip enemies close-up, or use them as human shields. Some weapons cause characters to explode into bloody chunks of flesh. In one setting, flyers with the words 'peep show' and 'XXX' can be seen alongside pictures of women in lingerie; a red-light-district storefront is depicted with a neon sign that reads 'XXX.

You are trying to kill or detain perseus before he can detonate nuclear bombs planted all over Europe and blame it on the U. There is a ton of language including F--k, Sh-t, and P--sy. There is an option to turn off blood and gore, but im not sure if there is one to turn off language, you might want to check that out.

George February 19, COD I think as you can turn of blood and bad language and most people play multiplayer I think that when your kids play online with there friends it teaches them jeans eye coordination and it helps them communicate especially cod and I think the rating is to harsh because you can turn off the blood and swear words.

Adult Written by B. Smith October 26, Great game! When my child first came to me asking for this game, as he said to me the words 'call of duty' I knew that I wouldnt let him get it. I said he could try it but I would have to monitor him.

And to be honest it's wasn't half as bad as I expected it! The zombies mode is not for kids but I would rate the multiplayer a 11 plus. The campaign has a lot of swearing and smoking but if your child has watched the maval movies they will be fine. I would rate it a 12 plus.

I did not let my child play the zombies though because if the extreme violence. Keep your child away from zombies until they are older. I would rate zombies 15 to 17 plus. In my opinion this game is a great investment for a family if there child is moving into the teenager phase beacause it will let them take out there anger on the game in the form of shooting enemies.

The campaign in my opinion is very good for learning life lessons to help you in your future. It fits well in the story and is not gratuitous, but I feel they could have scaled the gore back a little. Like violence and gore, the profanity level is pegged at maximum. There are very few exchanges that don't include multiple profanities. The f-bomb is dropped in almost every scene and the few scenes that omit it more than make it up with other words and sexual slurs.

The same applies for multiplayer lobbies, though in my experience it is the younger players who are cussing and throwing insults the most. The overall feel of the game is similar to the first story, but at times feels oddly sci-fi. Weapons, at least for the future missions, have some high tech features. Most notable are weapons targeting systems that highlight enemies, millimeter scanning scopes that can see through walls and rocks, and autonomous drones.

Following in the steps of other Call of Duty titles, Black Ops 2 offers multiple types of game play. This is where I've spent most of my time so far.
